Question about conditioners and incoming satellite feed...

I just purchased a Monster Cable HTS 3500 for a modest HT I am putting together. I will have an HDTV feed from DirecTV. Should I go straight into the HD receiver with the coax from the dish, or should I loop it into the conditioner first? My common sense tells me that simpler is better and I shouldn't add anything unnecessary to the mix. Or would the 3500 actually improve things?
