Like you, I was trying to get everything through the S video path. The tributaries connector for $100 does work. However the picture is much darker, and fuzzy. I thought I could tolerate it for my CD jukebox video output, but it turns out it was too gross even for that. The difference in picture quality and clarity is too great. Anyone want to buy it, I still have the manual, $50 and it is yours. Hardly used.
