I don't currently have any hi def equipment, however the future will eventually catch up with me.
I'm planning to install a video, telephone, and computer networking distribution box feeding 8 outlets througout the house. My first thoughts are to use a quad cable consisting of 2 RG-6 and 2 Cat 5 cables (i.e. structured wiring). To my understanding this is adequate for Stand Def, phone and networking. However, I'm wondering how useful this will be for a future with HD in it.
It there a way to effectively distribute an HD signal throughout a house? For example, if I had just one HD cable box, can I distribute a HD signal to all eight outlets? What kind of cabling/distribution amps would this require?
Thanks for any assistance.
