RE: 300 in blu ray is now rank 2 on amazon

I'm beginning to think that high definition DVDs have a future after all: My nearby Hollywood Video ("library" store) will have the movie available to rent in hi-def, and Circuit City's Sunday flyer is advertising availability in all formats.

I think they've hit upon a formula that works: Simultaneously release hit movies in high- and standard-def rather than waiting until the standard-def movie is selling for $6 and everyone has already watched it about a million times.
