Why is it that sometimes, a defective disk, a dirty disk completely locks up the machine. Why is it that these video disk players can't recover from a flawed portion of the disk? Sure, it might skip and jump but in most cases it just freezes up. The only way to recover is to unplug the machine and start over. Frankly, at that point I've lost interest in what I was watching and eject the disk ant turn it off. Why bother with any of it???????
