Best case scenario seems to be Blu-ray software sales continue to dominate and Standalone player sales at least trend towards a Blu-ray advantage giving Warner's a justifiction to go Blu-ray exclusive this January/February which would put a severe dent into HD DVD's hopes. I don't think I'm going to predict this is going to happen.63:37 software sales advantage for Blu-ray this past week. Expect that ratio to keep climbing in Blu-ray's favor until maybe "Transformers" comes out. I don't have any idea what's going on in the Standalone sales area. Blu-ray actually had a near-term advantage in hardware sales just BEFORE the Paramount decision. It'll be interesting to see how that's changed recently. Or what happens if the $199 Venturer HD DVD players hit the market (I don't know of any major US retailers carrying this product yet).
