Hello you AV nuts. I'm usually running around in the tape and vintage area. I'm an analog loyalist, who has a Quad set-up, and have incorporated my AV side, into my Quad audio set-up using surround processors for stunning movie sound. (personally, I like the oldschool rumble created by this big Sansui Quad amp, balanced with a couple processors and it really gets my JBL's and Mirages' pumping for theater like presence that can, at times, make you feel like you're levitating off the ground...).
I recently purchase an NEC AV-300 Audio Video Surround Amplifier with the remote that controls it all, the Digital Command Center NEC-RD-1050E. Unfortunately, after putting new batteries in the big all-in-one control remote, it's not being read by the receiver but it is putting out a signal.
No manual with my used purchase, so I'm hoping someone out there either has a copy I can buy, or will have some idea of how to prompt the remote so that I can set it up and use it with the amp.
Obviously, without a remote, an AV command center is not doing me much good. Yes, I assumed (big mistake) that if the remote didn't work with the unit, it would have been mentioned in the auction. It wasn't.
Now, I have no idea how to get the remote to work with the interface, how to program it and make use of this cool old surround command receiver.
Any ideas?
THANKS!
