Toshiba's HD-A3 went on sale today (Sunday, 11/18) at several dealers, including Circuit City, Best Buy, Abt (abtelectronics.com), and B&H (bhphotovideo.com). The typical price is $199.

Amazon seems to have the best deal, offering the A3 for $199 with free shipping and 10 free HD discs (five via mail from Toshiba, two packed with the player, and a choice of three more from Amazon's specific selection).
