As anyone with more than a couple of brain cells has realised long ago, regional coding is a total and utter waste of time and the fact that Sony have given HD DVD such an advantage is testament to their contempt of the consumer.
Implementing Regional coding and copy protection, both of which will inevitably be circumvented rendering them useless, are two reasons why the money men at Sony deserve to have BluRay fail miserably, along with releasing players which weren't ready for the market and which still have many gliches accoring to the reviews I read yesterday at Circuit City.
MERRY XMAS! :0)
