Is that the newfangled transparent-bottomed "U" bridge over the Grand Canyon ?

If so, it looks way too easy for losing format fanboys to leap into oblivion. Let's see, 24 hour drive from home ?

I forgot to mention Christmas party: lots of potential converts will be over today for some "merry-making" and Blu sermon making. If I'd a known I was going to do this before I flew up to NYC, I would have brought up some demo material. I ain't paying full price at Best Buy (no BOGOs this week). A Manhattan J&R World run might be useful.

There could be a bright side for the HD DVD fans. If HD DVD survives well into next year, I just might get a "proper" (not half-baked) HD DVD player; my current player doesn't do justice to TrueHD nad probably not for DD+ either. It'll mean biting the bullet on having multiple players in the system but maybe a "full-featured" dual format player with internal DTS HD MA/True HD decoding and 5.1 analog outputs) will be announced at CES.
