yes! Get a dvd player; i just got one and i am havin big fun. Got mine
at Circuit City for all of $200 (divx closeout players)
no! Don't spend a lot of money; because eventually at least one- probably 2-
niche formats will come to be (one for music, one movies) and it's upgrade time.
Lastly, most dvd players stink at playing music cd's. The player i got was the 5231z RCA. BTW, i really like my SuperVHS deck for recording tv off the
satellite. That might be something you would want to consider as well.
The quality of SVHS is a pretty good match for most DSS broadcasts.
