Did you even understand what I asked? I've seen the press releases already.
There is no mantion of it being compatable with the new BD-video1.1 specs that will be mandatory in all machines made after October 31. Since this is a selling point, probably a big one, the lack of mention seems to indicate the answer is no.
IOW, this is just a repackaged PS3 without the gaming portion. And, if its not compliant, or upgradable to be compliant, than it is only a stop gap model untill a newer one comes out in November.
