Help With Black Contrast on a 36" WEGA

I just got my 36" WEGA. While the picture is amazing, it seems like I'm losing contrast in the blacks. Things like black shirts end up being all black with little contrast to see details. I have the TV in Movie mode with a video component connection to a DVD player. Or in Standard mode with a satellite feed.
Any suggestions on how to show more contrast in the blacks without putting the brightness too high (which kills the blacks all together).
