I just upgraded my POS Pioneer stereo reciever to this Yamaha. I love it for both its price and its sound. The Pioneer was rated at 100w, I could turn it up only about 1/3 before the sound outta my JBL 2600s became too horid to stand. With this 70w Yamaha's low distortion will take my JBLs to thier limit and sound better than the Pioneer was capible of at any volume.Its only DPL but has 5.1 inputs and preouts for every channel but the mains so there is upgradability.
Anyway at $240 at BestBuy there isn't anything that can even come close.
