Hi Boo,I think this will really be a great receiver when it comes out. I may get one in a year or so. Here's my question. OutlawAudio did not get THX cert. on the Dolby Surround EX, so will it still sound the same on 6.1 encoded DVD's? My guess is that they got the algorithm close enough to sound the same. Maybe someone else can shed some light on the subject.
Also, on regular 5.1 DVD's will the rear center be active (matrixed from L&R rears) or completely turned off. It would be a waste if the only time it was put to use was when playing 6.1 DVD's. Will it be incorporated in a music surround format for playing standard CD's? What are the music surround DSP's to be included on the 1050?
Lot's of questions; there isn't a lot of info on the site.
