Question about DTS

Forgive my ignorance folks but I'm a little confused about DTS. I have
a Denon AV Receiver, which has a six-channel input for DTS and other
sources. It has a Dolby Digital Decoder, but not a DTS decoder. If I
buy a DVD player with a built in decoder and plug it into this input,
will I be able to play the DTS signal.
