It will replace a Toshiba 30" HD CRT. I'm thinking of going with a 40" LCD or a 42" plasma. I've been looking at Sony and Sharp LCDs, and Panasonic plasmas.
The Tosh is giving up... has a very annoying tube whine problem. I'm pretty disappointed with its overall performance.
I have a nice Sony Bravia 26" LCD in the bedroom, and I'm leaning towards a Bravia 40" 1080p display for the living room.
I ultimately prefer plasma for picture quality, but LCDs are getting mighty good... Is a 720p plasma superior to a 1080p LCD?
I want to keep actual cost under $2000.
Please advise!
Thanks!
