February 11 – Marantz may be shipping their high-end Blu-ray player much sooner than expected.
In a release from D&M Holdings, the parent company for Marantz, they detail how additional Blu-ray players should ship before the end of the fourth quarter of the 2007 fiscal year.
The 2007 fiscal year will end on March 31 for D&M Holdings.
This means that Marantz’s BD8002 player may see retail before April, which is sooner than previous date of the second quarter of 2008.
The BD8002 is a $2,100 Blu-ray player that is packed to the gills with all of the features for which any dedicated home theater enthusiast lusts.
