Well ...thanks again.
Unfortunately another room is not available (those stairs lead to my bedroom and bathroom and that's basically it).
All I can think of now is replacing my old Sony situated at the side of the same room in which my audio is. But the space is very limited and means I can only fit in a 27" or at best 32" screen and use its built in sound system (which I expect to be relatively poor). Still, better than nothing.
