I am finishing up an in-wall HT installation and am planning on using a couple of PE/Dayton 15" Infinite Baffle subs. My receiver has many settings for crossover points etc. so I was planning on using a standard stereo amplifier to drive the subs. (split the mono sub pre-out from the receiver as input to the L/R channels of the stereo amp) My question is that most stereo amps have a quoted frequency response of 20-20kz and some LFE go below this. Can I use a stereo amp in this application? Also, the speakers are rated at 350 watts and 89 db efficiency but my amp is a high current 100 watt/ch. I am figuring this is enough power for a small room with the dual 15" drivers installed as infinite baffle. Any input on this?
Thanks,
Dave
