I was kind of surprised to receive firmware 3.0 awhile back, and as of last evening, a disk containing 4.0 arrived! Looks like they are still polishing the system at this late date. No new features that I can see, just some apparent refinement and bug-fixes.
At least for now, I've decided to hang onto my HD DVDs and not repurchase the same titles in Blu-Ray.
