I have cable TV through a HD cable box which runs into the TV through component video cables and DVD going into the TV through a HDMI cable. About every 5 days I get static electricity crackles in the TV speakers when using the cable box. I replaced the 2 prong power cord to the cable box with a grounded PS Audio cable, thinking the lack of a ground was the problem, but the crackles still happen about every 5 days. If I disconnect the power cord and wait a minute, then plug it in again, the crackles disappear. All the power cords (TV, cable box, DVD player, XM tuner, receiver) go to the same power strip which has a grounded cord going into the wall outlet.
Is there a permanent solution to this problem?
