The only time I would run video through a receiver is if I absolutely had to use the receiver as a switcher. Adding another piece of electronics to the signal path, whether it be audio or video, always comes with the risk of compatibility issues. Some receivers won't accept or even pass-thru 1080p. Others might pass 1080p60, but will hiccup with 1080p24. Several receivers on the market will clip Below Black video and/or Peak White video.

Then again, your setup may have no troubles at all.
