Folks. Reading up on the HDMI threads and attempting to learn the differences of the HDMI cables, I am now wonndering if I would benefit from an upgrade to 1.3. My only interest at this point would be an improvement in picture quality from bluray vids. I am using a Monster 700HD cable (4.95 Gbps, 8 bit color, etc) which goes directly from a Panasonic DMP-BD30 player to a Panasonic TH-50PZ770 plasma TV.
Audio is done via a digital co ax from player to a Tag processor, which does not have HDMI or BP, so I am limited to Dolby dig 5.1 and standard DTS for now.
So, my interest (at the moment) is not the ability to run the newer HD audio, but picture quality. Would I notice an improvement going to an HDMI 1.3 cable given the above set up?
Thanx!
