Home Video Asylum

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

Ahhh yes, One for the positve...

Thanks Jwm...

And I agree, as Kal pointed out on page 47 that "with two firmware updates hes still lacking and awaiting the promised dts HD MA decoder, with estimated date for this release January of 2009" per his review.

I'm more tolerant and patient with products and promises and for the price I paid for my Pioneer BDP-51FD it would have to be a real nightmare not to justify keeping this value for $$$ unit. Looking forward to the improvement in video on my 1080i 64 inch 730 HDI set as well as audio. Ran out and purchased my first Blu-Ray movies...

1. Miracle at St. Anna
2.King Kong
3.Twister
4.The Punisher
5.Cloverfield

The firmware updates are a definite improvement for video, software wise, as my daughters have used firmware updates via their MP3 players and ipods as well, go technology!
