The calibration for my 151FD did very little as it was quite close to begin with. I'd wait at least two months before having your set calibrated. Do you think you could be having issues with your provider's signal? I tried switching from Comcast to AT&T and the results where drastic.
Frankly I've grown use to the picture quality. It's only when I see other displays that I realize how fortunate I am to have the Elite. Most of the last football seasons games were amazing as well as David Letterman. Still, provider service varies as does filming methods on Blue Ray releases. I find this display somewhat like a great set of speakers, it reveals everything it's fed.
