ive read that rec manufacures are trading more features for amp wattage.listing both amps at same wattage.but the cheaper one is really only 75 watts.they explained how its done.I did not understand it.they said to look at the more expensive one the amps should be close to same size & wt.
I looked at my 2 onkyos there abought 5 years old made the same year one is 5.1 the other 7.1 the 7.1 is alittle bit bigger.the 7.1 is only mabe 5lbs heavyer.there both 100 watts.they sound the same.so I think they have the same amps in them.hope this helps.
