I actually read info on this from another site several days ago. However, there was no testing done and no solid confirmation, so for me it was a no-go until that happened. Since the PS3 was getting an added feature via HDMI (Bravia something or other), I knew it would be using a different HDMI chip because the current one is not hardware compatible with that Sony feature. That's when the speculation started on bitstream capability.

I love the pictures and info that Engadget offers; however, the comment section below their articles is rank with too many retards and misinformed jackasses. And that's putting it nicely.

The Japanese "watch impress" site is pretty reliable.
