I've been bitten by the home theater bug but...well...I'm cheap/poor. I presently own an Onkyo TX-SV90Pro (early '90s) that up until I bought an Oppo 981 I just used for 2 channel work. The oppo "forced" me to dabble in 5.1 channel sound and after listening to a few nice SACDs and a few well recorded movies, I'm hooked.
I presently run the Oppo through the Onk and two T-amps to get all the channels (the sub is split off the front speaker pre-outs) and this system is a bit Byzantine to set up and tweak, to say the least.
Since the Onk has been the best amp/receiver I've ever owned, I'd like to stay with an Onk/integra HT receiver. Can you good folks suggest some of the older DTR models I might find on Audiogon/fleabay for say <$250? If I can get HDMI that would be cool but it is not a requirement.
What we have: ROKU w/HDMI, phono, Oppo 981, squeezebox, TC-7520 dac, playstation, Samsung hi-def. I'd love to play DVDs, SACDs, CDs, vinyl, FLACs, etc and have the sub work on all w/o a lot of fiddling.
