Real life is in three dimensions, I want to escape it when I watch a movie. OK, seriously....Denon AVRs are fantastic and I think you would be getting a great unit at a nice price. I've had several Denon units with only one having a problem, covered under warranty. A few friends and family have received my older units as I've upgraded along the way and all of them are still working. They are much easier to set up then a comparable Sony ES model, and sound very good to my ears. Just get it and enjoy your at-home movie experience. If you really want to see the occasional flick in 3-D catch it at the theater.
