Not enough HDMI ports

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

My Panasonic TV has 2 HDMI ports and I need to connect three inputs; cable box, Roku web movie box, and DVD player. Will a simple 2x1 HDMI splitter work? I came across the linked switcher too.
