Computer: Windows XP Pro desktop, only video output is a card with two S-video and one apparent serial output (for video control function?) No digital audio output. Three open slots (if the current video card described above is as useless as I believe, removing it makes 4 open slots).
Projector: 1080P, HDMI input available, about 35' from computer
HT receiver, audio only: no HDMI, coax and optical digital audio inputs
Goal is to route HD video (720P minimum, 1080P preferred) and 5.1 DD audio from computer to projector and HT receiver, respectively.
1st choice: Wireless HD video from desktop to projector. Digital audio, presumably coax RCA, hard wiring from computer to HT receiver easily accomplished. Please advise cards and wireless.
2nd choice: hard wire video feed, lots more work. Worth it?
Makes/models/estimated prices much appreciated.
