RE: I'm waiting on OLED/4K.....

Hi doug,

19" to 32" is what is ideal for me for both computer use and watching movies close up. Anything larger than 32" on a desktop is way too wide to see without turning your head side to side. Anything smaller than 50" mounted as a standard TV , one won't be able to see the fine pixel count. 4K would be best for those super big 80 inchers and sit between 11 feet and 16 feet.If you had a 55 inch, the best viewing distance would be between 8 and 11 feet, a bit too close for most living rooms (maybe not if in a small room). The 4K has such a dense pixilation that it needs either a much bigger screen or to just go to something very small like a computer monitor and sit up close. I know that what I was saying seemed difficult to see (no pun) without carefull thinking about my intentions . I guess you could call it pixel conservation, getting the most out of the better pixel count ,and not wasting valuable pixels.

YMMV
