RE: is video essentials a comparable substitute for ISF calibration?

I don't know if best buy is really equipped to do a pro ISF calibration. VE will do the basics, which will be ok for most of the masses. The easiest thing to do is go to AVSforum, and search for a thread of your TV model. Someone will most likely post the settings from a pro calibration for your set. It won't be perfect, due to different room lighting and such, but it will be very close. One can then tweak it if needed.

PS I have VE, and have used it's grey scale for fine tuning the settings. It works well for that.
