My beloved 10 year old Sony WEGA Trinitron flat screen recently went on the fritz, so I opted to submit to the world of modern HDTV rather than be a Luddite and try to repair an obsolete CRT television. What a disappointment. While 1080i HDTV is truly more enjoyable, SD TV channels look wretched when viewed via an LCD-LED television. Might a substantially more pricey plasma TV present more enjoyable 480i program material? TIA
