So, I am installing a home theater for my cousin who has helped me out a lot over the years. We are putting a TV (60" panasonic plasma) above his fireplace and a 5.1 surround system in the room. We decided to go with Axiom Audio speakers (in-wall) and a Hsu Research Sub. The components (receiver, blu-ray, , tv receiver, TIVO) will be located in a closet right off the rear left side of the room. We have already run the speaker cables, HDMI, and sub-woofer cables through the walls.
So, does anyone have any experience installing a universal remote in such a system? I have been looking into Logitech's offerings. I confess, I am a little confused. Can I get away with a cheaper Logitech Harmony Smart Control? Or do I need to go for the Logitech Ultimate? Or are there any better options out there? Unfortunately the Wife Acceptance Factor plays a big role in this situation. She just wants a way she can control the system without it being too complicated.
Any input would be welcome!
Thanks always!
