I'm ripping my laserdiscs into DVD using a recent model Pioneer DVD recorder and am having reasonable success with NTSC laserdiscs using a Pioneer HLD-X9 because it appears to have a good internal comb filter.
However the results are not so good for PAL laserdiscs using the Pioneer CLD-D925 and I suspect that is because the comb filter in it is not so great.
I have an iScan VP50 PRO which does a super job when used with the Onkyo and projector but it cannot be used for the DVDR because it upscales.
So, I've been searching for a 3D comb filter to handle composite analog in and SD video out via s-video to feed into the DVDR but cannot find what I want. All the video processors found so far are like the iScan VP50 PRO which take heaps of inputs and upscale. I see there are chips around which might suit but I'm out of my depth in any attempt to configure one of those.
Any suggestions?
TIA
John
