Also, It took no fewer than 3 LCD sets till I found one that got it all together for picture sharpness and color (after adjustments).

(For me, quality control goes beyond factory measured "specification", but actual product performance under conditions of use.)

If it doesn't look right and can't be adjusted, it probably isn't good - bring it back.
