I can leave my LCD on an image for hours..no ghosting or image retention at all...zero.

Yeah that was the problem with my plasma. Unfortunately the image wouldn't fade away after ten minutes. Not even after several hours. It wasn't until I replaced it with the LCD and completely unplugged it... did it clear up.
