The Mitsu flat screen 1080p LCD, fed by DISH HD receiver/DVR, was stuttering on certain program content. Jerky motions, and not at all related to fast movement motion blur. Connected via HDMI1.1
This problem wasn't noticeable initialy. I was using a HDMI 1.1 cable bought thru Apple's online store. Thru a couple of estate sales, I picked up an AR HDMI cable and another, kinda generic, cable. Both were much bulkier and seemed of a better build quality.
I switched out the Apple cable for the AR. Over the last few months I was getting this stutter effect on all kinds of programming. I thought it may have been due to DVR content filling up the DVR and affecting the incoming picture ssince it's recorded automatically.
Saw here on the bored last week(?) that low quality HDMI cables can cause picture stuttering. Swapped out the ARs for the generic heavy black cable. Stutters. Swapped out for the Apple cable. No stutter, for a week now.
Thank you bored!!!
