Yes, if you buy one of those channel kits from Home Depot e.g., the channel on either side can cover the holes.
I have even done this to access an unused AC circuit in another room, rather than running a whole new circuit (put plug on *after* drilling holes LOL).
You would be poorly advised to take home decor tips from me though...
