However, I have run into a lot of people, almost all used to an LCD, who complain that the Kuros look "washed out". They have even more trouble with a calibrated display. Accuracy takes a while to get used to, but when you are, everything else looks so wrong.
Set up as best you can according to the S&M disc. Try not to use any of the video adjustments in the Oppo, rather adjust the display. Broadcasts are all over the place, especially sports, so they are a poor basis. Use a separate display mode for "preference" setup, but try to stick to the "calibrated" mode for a month or two and your eyes should be re-programmed.
