I've talked to about five more people at Directtv. I finally asked for the 'customer retention' dept, but the first person there was useless, so I talked to her supervisor.
It took a long time but I got her to drop by bill about eighteen dollars a month.
I also beat them into sending someone out to find out why I get dropped signals without charging me fifty bucks.
When you're not a new customer yet you talk to the smart, nice people. Then apparently once they've got you by the balls you deal with people who would not be out of place at the local cable company.
