Preferably 1080p HD. Looking to spend less than $350, which I know is a ridiculously low amount. But, the camcorder is only for filming my girlfriend's dog running around, dinners, parties, etc. Should be small enough to fit in a purse, but side flip 3" or bigger viewing screenThis site says the Canon Vixia HF M40/M400(flash memory/SD card) is top performer they've reviewed below $600. CNET's review seems to agree. B&H Photo is selling them for $329.
I don't have the slightest clue in what to look for or where to even start. I can't find any reliable digi camcorder review sites like DP Review for cameras.
Any and all advice greatly appreciated
