This always had me curious. I remember the excitement when digital encoded LDs came out. I asked as oposed to what? It's a descrete medium. It would be like an analog CD. Was the old LD like the new SaCD format where the single bits determine change at an incredible rate, rather than accummulating them into numerical bytes at a slower rate & later spline?Anybody know?
