I bought one but the picture is very noisy... I complained about it and first they told me that it was probably my source. I told them that it was impossible because that TV has a built-in frame store used to do the progressive scan and when I freeze the picture it should be completely static without any noise. ( I am the chief engineer at one of the largest video post-production house in Canada so I know about that kind of stuff !)Finnaly they agreed to replace the set because it is brand new. I have now waited a month and a half because it is in back order and last week they told me that maybe the set has been discountinued and that a new model may come out soon.
Basicaly I felt that the picture quality was quite interesting without any dot crawl in composite video, when I saw the set in the store in fact much better than the competition. I went back to see another set in the store when I saw how noisy the picture was on my set and in the store it seemed O.K.
Maybe I was just unlucky with the set I got... I just hope it will be resolved soon because I want to buy Sony's new DVD player DVP-S9000ES when it comes out and there is no point buying such a DVD if your TV set is noisy !
