After several months with the unit, I felt that a follow up review was required. The soundstage of the unit has increased considerably. Also, the unit has opened up a lot and their is a lot more life to the music. The sound is really first rate now . The sound is still more analytical than some other processor that I have heard. I think it is because this unit is a lot more accurate and is not adding as much of a sonic signature as some to the other units I have owned and demoed. Whatever is on the recording is what is going to be reproduced. Anyone considering a high-end processor should at the minimum audition this unit. I am sure that it sounds better than the Theta Casablanca II which I have since my auditioned and is a very good sounding but it is edged out by the Cal unit. The Cal unit is more advanced and also upgradable thought not as much as the Theta at half the price.
