Region free pal and ntsc dvd player

I checked out amazon and was stunned at how inexpensive region free dvd players are now, including those that play PAL. I haven't looked at a new dvd player in years. I am not looking to use it with a giant tv (<40" max), and I don't need the greatest fidelity on the audio side. Any recommendations for a reasonable and easy to use player. You know, good image quality reasonable sound and reliable. Thanks
