hello, I like to download youtube videos and make DVDs of them to pass around to friends. I use this plugin, which you can pick the particular movie file you want upon playing the video and it downloads it.

also use videolan vlc http://www.videolan.org/index.html to play back, beware of other vlc sites, some are spoofs, only videolan.org is the official open source site for vlc.
