Its's the dreaded Unusable signal. I have spent more than my share of time on this one. I have a 35" Rca and early on I connected the S video from my DVD to it. The same thing happened. After call RCA (not much help) they pointed me to a local repair shop that was their warrenty repair. I discussed this with the shop before they came to fix it. The guy was very knowlegeable and immedatly told me that this is a recurring problem with RCA. The problem is that the some of the connections on the main board are not solder good enough. He came out and in about 1/2 hour fix it right up! Ask the repair shop that you call if they have made this repair. It was worth the $125 it cost.
